OPS Forestry is a procurement specialist, providing our customers, timber manufacturers and distributors from around the world, a secure, legal, direct-from-source supply of the world’s finest hardwoods.
What we love about our work is the incredible diversity, and beauty, of the timber species we work with.
We invest significant time into connecting and building relationships with forest owners and specialist suppliers from different regions around the world. In doing so further developing the product range that we can consistently supply to our customers.

OPS customers are timber manufacturers, distributors, sawmills, and construction companies. All needing needing ‘fit for purpose’ hardwood species to meet their needs and that of their customers.
We are at our best when we have gained a full understanding of our customers’ needs, we can then work to provide a supply solution that meets exact requirements.

Like the forests our products originate from our network of specialist suppliers continues to grow each day. OPS has partnered with Foresters, Auditors, and other forestry experts to assist and support our supply from any given country.

All OPS timber supply follows strict Legal Logging Due Diligence process of the origin country.
As an example our supply from Liberia is managed under Liberia’s LiberTrace system. LiberTrace is a project funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and European Union (EU).
The Government of Ghana and the EU signed the world’s first Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) in November 2009 to facilitate legal supply of timber to the European Union (EU). Central to the VPA is a Legality Assurance System (LAS); designed to monitor, control, and verify both the management and use of Ghana’s forest resources with a view to ensuring that all harvesting, processing, and other related operations are legally executed.

From a foundation of clearly defined, documented and approved product specifications, all orders are tightly controlled to ensure that specifications are being met. OPS Forestry representatives, direct or 3rd Party, inspect all orders prior to packing. Our harvest and sawmill partners also provide progress updates including pictures and video to support their updates and progress being made.

OPS full service includes shipping to any port in the world, typical intercom CIF. OPS are continuously working with shipping lines and their teams in each region to ensure very competitive rates are received. These rates are based off the combination of the shipping lanes and shipments OPS make annually.

We have been receiving raw logs into our facility for over three years now and the timber that OPS supply is consistently the highest quality. Added to this, their overall business model and the service they provide is outstanding.
