Fiji Mahogany is a highly decorative timber that has a straight and evenly textured grain. Can be pinkish to a reddish brown and yellow to orange-brown, darkens with time and when exposed to light. Genuine Fijian Mahogany is considered a sustainable, non-endangered timber.

COMMON USES

Fijian Mahogany is popular for outdoor decking and is perfect for full-weather exposed areas. Its other uses include panelling, carving, cabinet making and boat making.

APPEARANCE

Heartwood is pinkish to pale brown, with reddish brown streaks, becoming darker and more uniform on exposure to light. Texture is intermediate and the grain wavy to interlocked. Air-dry density is 570 kg/m3. Shrinkage is low.
