5 FACTORS THAT AFFECT THE WEIGHT OF BALSA WOOD

1. Age of the tree – older trees tend to have denser wood than younger ones.
2. Growth rate – slower-growing trees tend to have denser wood than faster-growing ones.
3. Environmental conditions – the amount of sun, water, and nutrients the tree receives can influence the density of its wood.
4. Location – Balsa trees grown at higher elevations tend to have denser wood than those grown at lower elevations.
5. Genetic factors – different species of Balsa tree have varying wood densities.
